Why am I being asked to enter a code when I log in? : PBS Help

Entering a code, in addition to your regular login information, is a measure put in place to ensure your login is safe and secure. This process is known as two-factor authentication and is used by many websites to enhance security. 

Keep in mind the following:

• Two-factor authentication only applies when logging in with PBS Account. Google, Facebook, and Apple have their own workflow.
• If you do not receive an email with the security code:
  • Check your spam folder
  • Confirm the email address you are using is associated with your PBS Account
• The six-digit code remains active for five minutes before expiring. If your code has expired, click Resend code (Figure 3.3 below).
• You can request a total of three (3) codes. After you've requested three codes, you will be blocked from requesting additional codes for 15 minutes. 
• If you make three incorrect code entry attempts, you will be blocked from entering a code for 15 minutes. 

If you are still have trouble, submit a support ticket.

Follow the steps below to sign in with your PBS Account using two-factor authentication.

• Type your email address into the textbox provided (Figure 1.1).
• Click Sign In (Figure 1.2).

If you do not have a PBS Account, click Create a PBS Account to create one (Figure 1.3).

• Go to the email account associated with your login and open the email from PBS. Copy the six-digit code that displays in the email (Figure 2).

• Back on the PBS site, type or paste the six-digit code in the Code textbox (Figure 3.1).
• Click Continue to proceed to the website (Figure 3.2).

Click Resend code if you need a new code (Figure 3.3).
